Blink camera disable blue light.
If you own a blink security camera you have probably noticed that the camera displays a blue led light whenever it is recording motion.
Ideally i d like to find a way to dsiable others connecting to certain cameras at certain times but for the disable potentially to have a timer feature let say 30min 1hr 4hr 8hr 24hr until.
Blink xt and xt2 have a physical hardware switch inside the camera to control whether the status light is on or off.
Then if you decided later to undo it you could just clean the hole again and volla blue light.
This feature is not available on the blink indoor cameras.
I can t find a way to disable other users connecting other than to remove the camera but then adding the camera back in is a complete pain.
For all cameras other than the indoor the blue light can be turned off.
Applies to xt and xt2 cameras only.
This led is enabled by default from the factory.
Blink cameras have an activity indicator in the form of a blue color led light on the front of the camera.

The xt and xt2 cameras have a hardware switch inside the battery compartment to control the blue recording light.
I guess it is a pro burglar security feature.

Honestly i don t know how the blink folks seem to think having the light come on only when its recording and off when its not is a security feature.

In this guide i will show you how to disable this light.
I will not recommand this action of diabling the blink camera led bulb as it will void the warenty but here is a video posted on youtube.
