Bmw F10 Door Handle Lights Retrofit

I thought i would post this as a reference for anyone who wants to retrofit puddle lights in the exterior door handles.

But when i unlock the car and look at the handle i can only se. It seems that whenever bmw give us something extra they take something else away to compensate. Looking at the door handles where the led light is it looks like there is a led for the top and bottom.

My last car was an e90 m sport plus and i too was disappointed when i found the f10 m sport plus doesn t have the door handle lights as oe and even more so finding the sports seats had lost the adjustable lumber support bolsters. Not sure what the actual feature is called but my f11 2012 has lights in the door handle which lights up when i unlock the car. Bmw f30 20 welcome lights retrofit duration. After retrofitting footwell lights i decided to see how difficult it would be to fit the lights in the door handles which is part of the 175 extended light package.
